Jemma Taylor
I am a parent of 2 children, I have a child at Corbet's Tey who has been there 2 years, I also have a son in a mainstream school. I am a volunteer for the Parent carer forum in Havering - Havering send family voice which I work alongside different projects to help the families in the community seek help advise and services they need.
We organise events that enable the local borough to come along and understand what help is needed within the community, school, health and social care for the families.
I was supported by a local charity Sycamore trust to help my daughter to communicate using visuals, this then became a passion of mine and I have previously worked at Sycamore trust charity supporting families living with autism, helping with communication, support in school, and accessing support available in the community for their families.
I'm passionate about ensuring the children's 'voice' is heard and supporting parents and carers on their journey.
I have a huge passion and drive to support the school any way I can and am proud to be part of a team that advocates for the children staff and families at the school.
I am pleased to have the opportunity to be a governor at the school and will give my parent view and support making the right decisions for the students and their families.
