Providing school staff with the understanding, resources and confidence to positively resolve challenging behaviour
The first session will provide school staff with practical methods to observe, record, summarise and analyse incidents in order to understand the factors contributing to the challenging behaviour. The second session will focus on how teams around a child can use this deeper understanding to develop effective and appropriate intervention strategies to bring about a positive change. The course will provide key staff with the confidence and knowledge to be the behaviour specialist in their setting.
The course is designed to meet the needs of Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCos), behaviour leads and other staff responsible for managing and delivering interventions for students experiencing difficulties with behaviour in their school.
