Phil Brimson (Safeguarding)

I’ve been working in the Higher Education sector for the last 14 years, currently as a Quality Assurance Manager at the University of East London, I’m also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

I have an Undergraduate qualification in Law and Postgraduate qualification in Coaching. Since the birth of my firstborn I’ve been drawn to doing something to benefit others, to be a good example and make my family proud.

In my job, I’m very involved in responding to government policy, creating new processes, and I also review and audit lots of the university provision. My aim is to use the skills and knowledge I have obtained in my career so far, to help assure and enhance the experience of pupils at Corbets Tey School, and I’m looking forward to learning a thing or two from the community at Corbets Tey as well.

I grew up in Ilford and moved to the area around 18 years ago, so I’m happy to be volunteering in my local community. In my spare time I love to be outdoors or in the pool!
